Network Engineering

My approach to Network Engineering is largely identical to my approach to Linux Administration. Honestly these principles are guiding principles in every job I undertake, but are particularly meaningful, I believe, in administration and engineering. For the long-form, see my Linux Administration section. But in short they are:

  1. Safety
  2. Revenue
  3. All Other Considerations Here

Safety would of course include Customer Information as well as not standing barefoot in a puddle of water while hot swapping power supplies and leaning against the DC power bank for support.

In regards to my specific approach to a given task, that could most concisely be explained as:

  1. Do it right in production
  2. Get it done in lab

In this section I will include posts that highlight various techniques and approaches to making the packets flow along the desired paths.
