My approach to Network Engineering is largely identical to my approach to Linux Administration. Honestly these principles are guiding principles in every job I undertake, but are particularly meaningful, I believe, in administration and engineering. Safety would of course include Customer Information as well as not standing barefoot in a puddle of water while hot swapping power supplies and leaning against the DC power bank for support.
In regards to my specific approach to a given task, that could most concisely be explained as:
- Do it right in production
- Get it done in lab
